Amy Shimonkevitz

Deacon Amy stands at the front of the church.Rev. Amy seeks to draw the congregation into serving the community, particularly in ways that alleviate suffering and minister to those in need.  She is enthusiastic about service, preaching, and laughter.

She lives in Arbutus with her husband, Charles, where she enjoys reading, noir films, cooking, and fiber arts. Many of you may already know Amy; she is the spouse of Chuck Shimonkevitz parishioner and regular attendance of the 8:00 a.m. service.

Ordained a deacon in June 2021, she has been serving the communities of St. Andrew’s in Glenwood and St. Paul’s in Poplar Springs.  She currently works at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center supporting the work of Earth scientists.
