
Rev Joanna is delighted to be journeying with Trinity as we determine the next phase of your ministry. Her background includes undergraduate work in nursing (Wesley College, Dover, Del. Now part of the Delaware system), Social Science, Criminal Justice, (Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.), M.S, Community Health Management (Long Island University, (The Brooklyn Center) M.A. Spirituality and Pastoral Care, (Loyola University, Baltimore). She received her Masters of Divinity from Yale Divinity School. She was ordained to the priesthood in 1990 by the Diocese of New York and has served seven churches in four states. Her training at Penn State School of Medicine, Hershey Medical Center led to serving as a chaplain in five settings and as chaplain to clergy and Canon for Pastoral Services on the staff of The Rt. Rev. Eugene Taylor Sutton.
Her husband Francis Samual White III (Sandy), died in 2016. She has three children, Josh and wife Joyce, Sarah and husband Jeff in Annapolis and John in Ardmore, Pa. She is blessed with four granddaughters and two great-grandchildren. Rev Joanna lives in Annapolis where she has opportunities to be a nanny to three loyal granddaogs and two ungrateful grandcats.
